Why do we celebrate the lump of flesh that fell from the womb instead of the woman that spent many months carrying it and then many hours painfully pushing it out?


Also celebrating your birthday is strange, it's just celebrating the fact that another year has passed and then doing it again and again for friends, family, and then new year's.
